Mid-Somerset Festival
The Mission has hosted Speech and Drama events for the Mid-Somerset Festival in every year of the theatre's existence. We are delighted to welcome back this highly acclaimed competitive festival, which has a comprehensive selection of classes for young performers. The Mid-Somerset's objective is to combine all of the traditional elements you might expect to find in a Festival with a modern approach to Drama and the Performing Arts. The competitions are for amateurs but adjudicated by professionals, and aim to encourage performance at its most enjoyable level.

The Green Room
The Mission Theatre’s delightful vegetarian Bistro in the Theatre Upstairs will be open throughout the day during the Mid-Somerset Festival. Its calm surroundings provide the perfect atmosphere in which to prepare before a competition or to relax afterwards. As well as our full range of delicious hot meals, quiches, soups, salads and rolls, we will also be serving lighter bites for young performers with child-friendly fairy cakes, fresh fruit and snacks.
