Review from tripadvisor.co.uk
"This unpretentious, friendly restaurant will soon, I hope, be better known.
When The Green Room opened, it only offered a lunch menu that I'd been told is delicious, although I'd never eaten there. Recently, however, they've introduced a pre-theatre meal, so we decided to give it a go.
It is truly excellent in every way. The food is completely delicious--a simple menu of vegetarian dishes and superb homemade cakes. The portions are just right, the temperature of the cooked food is spot on, and the salads that accompany the main course are fresh and beautifully presented. We had a goat cheese lasagne followed by an absolutely divine chocolate hazelnut truffle cake--perfect!
The setting is a bit like an American diner--friendly, simple with no fuss or pretense, and spotlessly clean. The staff are attentive and helpful if you ask, but otherwise wonderfully discreet.
I strongly recommend this new venture. And don't miss the performance after the meal!--the Mission Theatre puts on innovative plays with superb actors."

Bistro Manager Shirley Smith says: “We offer a variety of savoury options that will satisfy anyone’s appetite – soups, main meals, quiches, salads and rolls – and then you can always treat yourself to a slice of one of our home-made cakes or tarts.” We try, wherever possible, to use fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The Green Room is fully licensed all day, and is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine, or a cup of coffee and a delicious meal or snack, in calm and attractive surroundings.
