The Noise Next Door appeared at The Mission Theatre on April 6th and 7th as part of the Bath Comedy Festival. They attracted large audiences that clearly enjoyed every minute of the show and went home marvelling at the creativity, imagination and versatile skills of these five ‘slightly posh blokes’, as they describe themselves.
Working on ideas supplied by the audience, they produced improvised sketches and impromptu songs, and managed to invent some clever and spontaneous material and several laughs a minute. Most of all, they had complete control of the audience from the outset, and seemed to enjoy the evening as much as the watchers. They displayed incredible physical and mental energy, and never fell into the common trap of complacency, or taking their audience for granted. As a bonus, you could go to both performances and get a different show each night.
A most enjoyable evening from a group that ought to have a great future ahead, which we hope will include a return to The Mission Theatre.
