The Mission Gets a Facelift

08 / 2009

The Mission Theatre reopened its doors on Tuesday 1st September, after a six week break over the summer for refurbishment and redecorating. The kitchen in the Bistro Upstairs has now been tiled throughout, and the ceiling and seating area have been re-painted in places after essential maintenance work was carried out on the flat roof above. The foyer, dressing rooms and stage have also all enjoyed a fresh coat of paint for the benefit of audience and cast members alike.

The ‘new look’ has already been fully tested, with the Next Stage Youth production of “Living With Lady Macbeth” receiving good audiences from September 1st to 5th, and Sunday 6th saw the return of the ever-popular Lindsey Reed and the Jazz Addicts – this time performing cabaret-style in the main auditorium.
