Presented by John White

Tuesday 2nd - Wednesday 3rd October at 7.30pm

Returning by popular demand! The year is 1544 and King Henry VIII, without doubt England’s most colourful Monarch, is engaged upon a Royal Progress about his Realm.

The King, recently married to his new, and sixth, wife, Queen Catherine Parr, is vividly brought to life affording ‘Audience’ to his loyal and well beloved subjects, during which he recounts the events of his long and troubled reign; telling of his wives, of his children, and of severing links with Rome.

'What a superb show! It was hard to believe we were not in the presence of the formidable monarch himself. A rich, authentic set, beautifully detailed robes and a pitch-perfect performance from John White. The audience were enthralled as John moved seamlessly through King Henry’s long reign with entertaining accounts of his passions, dalliances, disillusionments and death warrants! A familiar slice of history was served up afresh by this talented and impressive actor. Not least in entertainment value was the Q&A at the end of the show, where John fielded audience questions with adroit skill and knowledgeable  answers. Do not miss a chance to see such a first-class performance.’
