We are thrilled to be unveiling our Spring 2026 season, filled with over a dozen exciting events, from family-favourites to hard-hitting drama, from live music to thought provoking lectures, there’s something for everyone at The Mission this Spring.

Resident company Next Stage, with their scintillating post-Christmas treat, Shakespeare in Love, kick off the season in January with what promises to be a sell-out show.

In February Wax Wings Theatre Company - first-timers at The Mission - bring their reimagined telling of Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. Then in March we welcome The Stagecoach Bath Further Stages’ team who are bringing Chicago: Teen Edition to the stage. Also appearing at The Mission for the first time are Theatre Reviva!, bringing a first-hand account, written by his son, of Bathonian actor and playwright Arnold Ridley’s life in: Were You Anyone Before Dad’s Army?. Completing a clutch of new companies, Bath Spa Theatrical Society appear with us for the first time with The Importance of Being Earnest to be followed by Echo and Ink performing Dennis Kelly’s gripping thriller DNA - both shows on in April.

Making a welcome return in February to The Mission is the University of Bath with their Minerva Series of Lectures 2026. Another returning favourite is the Bristol Ensemble, who are bringing two musical treats to The Mission - a romantic evening just before Valentine’s Day with Paris by Night, and then Baroque & Roll in March. Bath University Student Theatre joins us once again for their spring show, Blue Stockings, and we will also be welcoming back the Mid-Somerset Festival, hosting a large part of their Speech & Drama competition.

To complete our varied and colourful Spring season, there are more returning favourites in the form of Dancing Salmon, back to us with another of their fantastically whimsical musical spoofs, Hamlet: The Musical, and family fun comes to us in the Easter holidays with Folksy Theatre’s Robin Hood. And finally there is a returning favourite coming to The Mission on May 19th when international singer Dean Friedman makes a welcome return to Bath.
