The Mission Theatre Manager £29-31k pa Full time
The Theatre Manager is in charge of managing the day-to-day operation of The Mission Theatre.
The nature of the work requires working in the evenings and on weekends, depending on programming requirements, work hours can be flexed accordingly.
This role is perfect for a highly motivated individual with a passion for the performing arts who is a good organiser, communicator, and administrator. We’re looking for someone who has both a technical knowledge of theatre and can manage an office, run a team of volunteers, communicate with supporters and company members, oversee venue operations, liaise with the local media and take the lead in developing the theatre’s programming with new and existing companies. The job also entails designing promotional activity and copywriting. This is a varied and exciting role, ideal for someone who understands the demands of running a vibrant venue, is adaptable and detail-oriented, and has a desire to work within the creative arts industry.

Essential qualities for candidates
· Demonstrable understanding of theatre and performance venue requirements and associated operational activity
· Good time keeping and ability to meet deadlines
· Accustomed to working weekends
· Excellent organisational and planning skills, and demonstrable experience of multi-tasking and prioritising workload.
· Strong written and verbal communicator
· A track record of managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders
· Proactive approach to problem solving, anticipating needs and outcomes
· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office 365
Desirable qualities
· Experience in events management
· Experience of theatrical practice
· Experience of operating theatre sound and lighting systems
· Experience with Mail Chimp email software
· Experience with Square Space website management
