DNA

  • The Mission Theatre 32 Corn Street Bath, BA1 1UF United Kingdom (map)

by Dennis Kelly
Presented by Echo and Ink

Wednesday 22nd – Saturday 25th April, 7:00pm

DNA by Dennis Kelly is a tense and unsettling story about a group of young people bound together by a terrible secret. When something goes wrong, panic sets in, and what begins as an accident becomes a test of loyalty, guilt and survival.

Tense, and disturbingly human, DNA explores morality, manipulation, and the cost of complicity.

Dennis Kelly’s razor-sharp writing keeps audiences gripped to the very end, asking one haunting question: how far would you go to keep your place in the group?

Echo and Ink are beyond excited to present this dark, twisted and thrilling show to the stage. From studying the show in school ourselves, we can’t wait to explore the gorgeous nuances within the text written by Kelly, and reflect how a simple mistake can unravel and change the lives of all involved, and how that then in turn impacts the wider world.

‘If you are looking for a play that will jar, jolt and judder then brace for impact and share Dennis Kelly’s guilt-ridden DNA. It’s brutal, it’s shocking and yet, in its madness, it is chillingly beautiful where the identity of the human subject is reduced to a molecule.’ – John Dabbel

This amateur production of DNA is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
