General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 25 May 2018
The new General Data Protection Regulation coming into effect by 25th May 2018 ensures your data will be securely protected by Next Stage Theatre Company which also runs The Mission Theatre.
The information we collect can include names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, medical details and photographs. For newsletters and updates Next Stage Theatre Company uses Mail Chimp which is hosted in the USA and complies with a privacy shield.
The lawful basis for holding and using this information is based upon the public giving their consent for us to do so.
By May 25th 2018 Next Stage Theatre Company needs to be sure that it can continue to use an individual’s data when it needs to contact them. The data will only be used by Next Stage for the reasons set out in its Data Protection Policy and will not be passed to a third party.
Next Stage will contact everyone for whom data is stored by the company telling them of the changes in the law and giving them the option to unsubscribe from mailing lists and company data bases.
If at any point an individual or company believes that the information held by Next Stage is incorrect, a request can be made to see it and have it corrected or deleted. Out-of-date and superseded information will be removed.
If someone wishes to raise a complaint on how Next Stage Theatre Company handles personal data, they can contact the Next Stage Theatre Company’s Artistic Director at firstname.lastname@example.org, who will investigate the matter within 30 days. If they are not satisfied with the response, or believe Next Stage is not processing personal data in accordance with the law, they can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
